Our Team
Walker Family Medicine brings to your community over 20 years of combined medical expertise. During Dr. Walker's Family Practice residency, she spent special focus on substance abuse and pediatrics. Dr. Walker brings to WFM attention to preventative health. Prior to Ms. Amanda Bennett's training as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she practiced nursing at University Medical Center 's Emergency Room. Ms. Bennett brings to WFM many years of Emergency Room experience to assist and to develop WFM's Urgent Care services. Mr. Mick Drage comes to Willcox with prior Orthopedic and Emergency Room experience. Mr. Drage is also excited to provide family medical care combined with urgent care services for WFM.
The Walker Family Medicine team has worked together for over five years while serving the Willcox community. Each team member has strong family ties to the Willcox community. We are committed to providing patient-centered care so we can maintain the health of the community in which we live.
Staff Bios
Dr. Dawn Walker, D.O. 
Dr. Dawn Walker is residency trained and Board certified in Family Practice. Dr. Walker enjoys the variety of family practice, including the care of infants and children, women's health, and geriatrics. She is also interested in prevention of substance abuse and was a co-founding member of the Willcox Meth Task Force. Dr. Walker has served as Chief of Staff at Northern Cochise Community Hospital and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Amanda Bennett, FNP-C
Amanda Bennett started her nursing career at University Medical Center in
Tucson, Arizona as an ER/Trauma Nurse. She received her Bachelor of Science
in Nursing degree in 1999 and Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2004
from the University of Arizona College of Nursing. She has practiced Family
Medicine in Willcox since 2004. She is committed to the health and
well-being of the Willcox community having been born and raised in Willcox
with many of her extended family still residing in the area. She is
currently working on obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from
the University of Arizona, focusing on rural health systems and vulnerable
populations. Her anticipated graduation date is May 2009.
Mick G. Drage, PA-C, MPAS
Mick Drage began his career in 2001 as a board certified Physician Assistant by becoming a member of the Northern Cochise Community Hospital Medical Staff. He has been heavily involved in many local community medical concerns and issues and is committed to promoting a more healthy outlook in Cochise County.
